We step up our game today, and attempt to tackle fixing two Gameboy Colors in the same video! These came as a 2-for-1 set off of eBay, and both share a common problem – prolonged water exposure and subsequent damage.

Can both of these be fixed? Can we continue our streak of perfect successes in fixing Gameboy Colors that make their way through our hands? Watch, and find out!

  2. You should do something no one has done… give it an ipa bath like soak that thing lol then reflow all the leads. Oh and I've seen people check every chip… you could try that. An ipa bath tho… I wanna see that

  5. Were these from the USA? The one on the right looks much clearer at the beginning, like they're a different formula for the shell, or one is possibly a bit discoloured? Eithe rway, cool. Just starting the video now!

  6. 8:02 My guess regarding the corrosion in the headphone jack, is battery leakage. I just did a video with a very similar issue. The silkscreen on the actual PCB was coming up and the headphone jack was full of battery residue, which was causing audio issues.

    The "Blue" you see is typical for alkaline battery leaks. It's leaked to the front of the board through the holes, and started getting at the button contacts.

  7. When I clean carts and stuff I start with an eraser then after I use the alcohol. It works really good when stuff is super bad.

  11. Is there anywhere specific I can buy a faulty atomic purple GB color. I want to put my pi 3 into it.

  12. To be honest I don’t know if you’re going to respond to this but there could be a problem with that thing that is right next to the start and select or under the D pad I heard that could be a problem but I don’t know if that’s true.
